What an AI interview copilot actually does

An AI interview copilot is software that runs on your own machine during a live interview. It transcribes what the interviewer says, works out that a question was asked, and streams a structured answer into a window only you can see. Unlike a meeting bot, nothing joins the call; unlike a chatbot, you are not typing anything.

The category is young and the marketing is loud, so the honest version is worth saying: a copilot is very good at structure and recall under pressure, and it cannot make you fluent in something you have never done. It is at its best when you already know the material and the failure mode is freezing, not ignorance.

What it looks like in practice differs a lot by round. A coding screen needs an approach and complexity analysis in four seconds. A system design round needs a framework held steady for forty-five minutes. A recruiter screen needs a ninety-second summary of you. Each guide below covers one of those properly.

Try it on a mock first.
